What is a brand? There are many ways to define them, and endless books on the subject. Put simply, it is an impression of your competence that precedes your presence.
Why is it so important? Because building a brand is the single most powerful way to raise your fees and increase your effectiveness. These two results have a symbiotic relationship with each other.
How do you build a brand? You publish and speak in front of potential clients. If you are serious about growing your business you must do both. This means you must:
- Know who your target clients are.
- Know what they read and where they hang out.
- Must become proficient at speaking to them
- Must become expert at writing for them.
No exceptions. Just do it.
